This is Oppo, not People or Inside Edition; dead racers don't get this much coverage so can't we all just kindly move on. Please? Or possibly a thread where we can all say how we're feeling in the comments? I'm not trying to be a hater, I just don't want to be reminded of it every time I come here (typically at least once an hour) for the next few days. :/

True enough, which is why I politely requested it.

People will move on their own.

That's fine, if you want to make death theme related posts like this http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/question-what-… then I'm all for it. You want to tell the world you're shocked? Use Twitter or Facebook.

With the amount of coverage the films have received on the FP and whatever coverage his death will spawn, this is to be expected. The FF franchise is about as oppo as a bunch of fast-car B movies can get.
I agree that the number of posts about him back here seems crazy high, but he meant something to people and they want to pay tribute. It'll fade on its own.

There are people who still post full essays about drivers that died 15 and 20 years ago. Just let it happen man.
